This function returns ‘t’ if OBJECT is a string, ‘nil’ otherwise.
-- Function: string-or-null-p object
This function returns ‘t’ if OBJECT is a string or ‘nil’. It
returns ‘nil’ otherwise.
-- Function: char-or-string-p object
This function returns ‘t’ if OBJECT is a string or a character
(i.e., an integer), ‘nil’ otherwise.
